Because of Adam and Madie’s love for the outdoors, we went with an Indianapolis adventure engagement session at the beautiful, Turkey Run State Park, on the west side of Indianapolis. They both spent tons of time here hiking, camping, and exploring the trails together.
During our session hardly any other visitors passed by, so we had the place to ourselves. We walked the woods filled with purple flowers, crossed the extension bridge, and hiked through canyons with mini waterfalls. It was epic!
These high school sweethearts met in 7th grade and have been dating for 6 years – since 8th grade! Together they love their seven Australian Shepherds and a lot of their life is focused around them. During our session they brought their sweet pup along for the adventure.
I’m constantly leaving sessions pinching myself and thanking god for the opportunity to explore new places with new humans…and new animals! Sometimes I think I needed a session more than my clients did? It’s healing in a way because nature is powerful and so is love.
I can look at images and remember the smell of the woods, sounds of the birds and nearby river, how the temperature dropped when walking through the canyons, and the relaxed conversation.
I cannot wait to photograph Adam and Madie on their wedding day this fall at the gorgeous Brown County State Park! Thank you for inviting me along to document your love and see the world.
